"The Pink Corner Office"

SuzannePenn.com is the branded web site for “Dr. Sue”.   There she remains dedicated to empowering and motivating others. Her books (The Pink Corner Office, published by Xlibris, 2006) and writings focus on women and how to achieve the most out of life, family, and the workplace. 

For 29 years Dr. Sue, a successful entrepreneur, has been the Chairman and Senior Managing Director of both MTS Tax Solutions and MFS WealthCare. She is also a regular guest on “ A Sip Of Inspiration”, the Chicago based television show on Channel 19. In the past, Dr. Penn was the former host of Let’s Talk Financial, a cable television show that aired in the Chicago land area. Podcasts of her shows can be viewed from the archives of www.letstalkfinancial.com. Dr. Sue continues to remain a frequently requested television and radio guest.  

Suzanne has held seats on various boards in business as well as the community at large. Those seats were to Chicago’s Cosmopolitan Chamber of Commerce, The National Black MBA Association, The Chicago YWCA and Christian Vision Center, a shelter for abused women. She was appointed in 2007 as the Illinois North East  Regional Director of Women N Power International Ministries.  

Since   2003, Dr. Penn was asked to serve on the President’s Council of the University of   Illinois.There she assist in providing scholarships for high achieving, African-American students. She also volunteers with the UIC Honors College, to interview eligible students.   

Since 2004, Dr. Penn has served as the Founder and President of Christian International Outreach Ministries, a faith-based organization that focuses on providing aid to churches located globally in areas that have been devasted by natural disasters, for more info go to http://christianfinancialministries.net.

Dr. Penn is the recipient of the Images-Leadership Award, The Kizzy Award for Professional Achievement, National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club Award, The League of Black Women’s - Black Rose Award, The 2010 Mothers Informing Mothers International Phenomenal Women's Award, The 2009 Chicago Defender Women of Excellence Award,  and The New Orleans Center for Successful Living’s -Spirit of Greatness Award.  The City of New Orleans, United States Senator Mary L. Landriel, and the City Council of New Orleans have all recognized her achievements.

She has been featured in Newsweek, Today’s Chicago Woman and Crain’s Chicago Business Magazines, in addition to the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Defender, and   N’Digo newspapers.

She is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Chicago and also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in business management   from Kennedy-Western University. Recently Dr. Penn was asked to participate in the global 2010 Hapak Alumni Entrepreneurship Seminar sponsored by the University of Chicago's Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship.
 

Mrs. Penn is married to Algernon H. Penn, President of Penn Consulting Group. Together they have three adult children and reside in Illinois. Dr. Penn is a member of  the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, Illinois.  She loves tennis, and is an avid reader.
